My Teenage Boy plus the Seedalls

mtseamonsfam Wanted to post a picture of my handsome teenage boy but he never sits still for very long (unless it's iPod related or his nose in a book. Lol) Every fast Sunday, he amazes me with his sweet testimony. He gets up in front of our congregation & shares what God has taught him. He is an great example of "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house." #lighttheworld (plus these Seedall boys of ours love a good tackle from their Justice friend)
seedall  My kids love going to Nana's house and love your children. There's always a sweet spirit in your home. I am so thankful you are so dependable and help me out of all my jams!! Love you my friend so much.

Here's the other kiddos when they came to play with "Nana" one day. So cute!

Mardi Gras Murder Mystery Date

We were invited to a Murder Mystery Date tonight at the Seedalls. We got to dress up and act and eat AMAZING food and visit and try to figure out who murdered Pierre DuPre. What a night to remember!

I played the part of Connika Gothica- a famous, eccentric, billionaire author that was the next door neighbor to the dead guy. Brett went as J. Stephen Peek-  The DuPre family attorney & Pierre's closet friend & confidant. We were able to meet Alexis (Heidi) - the snotty southern belle daughter of Pierre & her fiance Gator (Kyle). There was Melissa F. DuPre (Hailey), the tacky slut from Vegas that married Pierre just a few months ago. A poor, jazz musician from the French quarter, Bourbon DuPre (Nick) was an illegitimate nephew of Pierre. Oh yaaaah! Then there was the staff- Elise St. Gresch (Davina) - a pretty french girl that has worked as the maid for years and happens to find out she is Pierre's daughter. And last but not least- Cayenne Pepper (Nate) the DuPre family chef and an aspiring TV star. He kept the night smokin' HOT! ;)

We set a timer on my cell phone so we could get a group shot. We look awesome!!

Cheyenne is one crazy, hot chef! ;)

P.S. This is the pie we had for dessert. Oh my heavens! Does Davina know how to do perfection or what???

Daycare Central

It doesn't really seem like it but when I actually look back at pictures, I realize we have kids over to our house A LOT!!! My kids love having people over & it helps out friends so I guess you'd say- it's a Win*Win situation. I need to remember to cherish these times because before you know it- I'll be an old foggie and no one will want me to watch their kids, right? Here's some of our cute visitors:
Making cookie with Schanz girls

Tissue Paper Flowers with the Gengers

Special Restaurant Lunch with Atticus
(Sampson's been over quite a bit as well but I guess I haven't taken pics)

We got to adopt Baby Brody for a couple days. My kids are in LOVE with him!!!!
He was such a good baby!

We've also had over the neighbor kids a bunch of times. Guess I can't take a picture everyday!
(Don't laugh- I really don't take pictures every day even if it looks like it! LOL)

Seedall Boys

My kids adore the Seedall boys! Glory even begs me to be able to get out of school if I am watching Atticus during the day! ;) We had them over this evening. They had a blast building forts and playing some Nerf gun game. Love them!

A Choice GNO

After my Make & Take party, Hailey and I got my kids settled for bed and then took off for a late night GNO. (Brett's out of town this week) We went to the new chick flick- The Choice. It doesn't officially come out until tomorrow but we had the theater ALL to ourselves. It was like a flashback from our Black Friday days! LOL It was a total chick flick! And then when we left the theater almost delirious from our late night festivities- it was like we were in the Twilight Zone. We were seriously the ONLY ones in the theater. Like.... NO employees or anything! {Check out the snack bar below} It was creepy. I think we only past one or two cars on the ride home even with us stopping for gas. Spooky!! But it was some darn good girl time- so it was worth risking our lives in some alternate universe, right? Luv ya lady!

Sushi with Nick

It was Nick's birthday and Hailey got a bunch of us together to celebrate. We went out for dinner to Nagoya's. Brett and I got sushi. Oh my heavens!!! I love sushi!!
We also went out to the movies. We saw The Finest Hour. It was an amazing story!

Happy Birthday Nick!!!
So glad we're friends.

Fanciest Ward Party You've EVER Seen!

It was our
  Ward Christmas Party
this evening. Can I just say- I've never been to a fancy Church Party ever!!! My cute friend was in charge and she has no capability of doing anything half-heartedly. She had a few of us on her committee but for the most part- this baby was magnificent soley because of her! The invites were darling! (I helped create it while she told me what to do) The decorations were amazing! Like beyond amazing!!! A big round of applause for her hubby that makes her dreams a reality.Way to go, Nick! And she pretty much did the entire meal herself. She rocks like that!

Here's some of the crew helping hoist the 6 foot wreath chandelier in the middle of the gym. Can Nick make dreams come true or what???  Hailey put together all these gorgeous centerpieces beforehand. We cut out vinyl for the wall and made 3D holly on both sides of the gym. So cute! We needed a 3D star that hung from the chandelier so we covered 2 large metal stars with tin foil. It turned out pretty good if you ask me!

Here's what the main centerpiece looked like.
The two wreaths were suspended from the ceiling and had lights.
It had over 100 balls tied with ribbon.
IMPRESSIVE!:

Here's our dinner & guests. SOOOO many people came! It was crazy!

For the Program, the Primary children sang. One of the young men played the guitar. Someone played the Piano.

Then, Anna & Marcus Strange had put together a video made by the Primary children. (Hence our theme of "Out of the Mouth of Babes") It was super sweet hearing all their little voices and their thoughts on Christmas! I caught a picture of Glory & Victoria on the big screen. They are stars!! LOL

After the Program, we had a surprise guest come. I somehow became Santa's little Elf and directed the craziness of a Santa line. Let me tell you- I almost lost my life. LOL (Just Kidding but their were several people that kept trying to tell me & Santa how to do it "correctly". But Santa told me & I quote- "Well, Put them on the naughty list then!" I about died laughing. Too funny!) The kids loved it!!!

Here's the cute group of ladies that pulled tonight off. They are such beautiful women. Love them!

 Merry Christmas everyone!

Seedall Holiday Recipe Exchange

My darling friend, Hailey invited several ladies over for a Holiday Recipe Exchange Party. She's like Martha Stewart on steriods! LOL I love her! Her table setting was amazing!!!!! She had somefruitslush and home-made hot chocolate. Fabulous stuff! Everyone's recipes were so delicious. Loved chatting and eating and exchanging together. Happy Holidays!

We had Nick take some pictures for us. I'm gonna have to teach these girls the art of "Jazz Hands" so I don't look like an idiot next time. LOL (I jumped in on the band wagon of butt touching--- I swear they were doing it first;) but Nick only seemed to catch me doing any touching, Shoot! Oh well- I'm the only one dressed Christmasy so guess I can excuse myself this time! What a fun group of ladies!

Black Friday Shopping

I have never been Black Friday Shopping. But my friend was hoping to have company this year so I decided to brave it. We decided to not go out until Hobby Lobby opened on Friday morning. (I think I've failed to mention that Helena finally stepped up in the Crafty World by getting a local Hobby Lobby! Hallelujah!)
Oh my Heavens!!!! It was so funny!
Here's Hailey running through Hobby Lobby to make sure she got what she wanted.

Oh wait!!!! See how she's the ONLY person in there?? Yep. That's right. There was seriously only like 10 cars in the parking lot! And with the store being so big it seemed like we were the only ones in there! And it felt the same at Target & Walmart. If anything it was like a regular weekend shopping day. So much for all the crazy hoopla that I thought that I'd be experiencing! I'm sure part of it is that it's Helena & our idea of rush hour traffic is that not everyone made it through the light. LOL The other part is that I'm sure with Cyber Monday- times have changed. But it was ridiculous how disappointing the Black Friday experience was! I did find some amazing 90% off Fall deals! That made me a happy camper! How cute is that Turkey???

GDO to Bozeman

I went with a few of my girlfriends on a road trip to Bozeman today. We just headed out on the road to get away from Helena for the day. We drove, ate, visited, laughed, shopped, ate some more, shopped the boutiques, tried on fur coats and shopped some killer GAP sales repeatedly! LOL Then we headed back. What a good break! And what fun, beautiful friends to be with! Love you ladies!

Ewok Sampson's Halloween Party

Our friends, the Seedalls threw an amazing Halloween Party tonight. It was amazing and there were tons of people!!! She fed us all! She knows how to make everything look like Martha Stewart. She's the bomb!

All the kids got to decorate a bag and then the whole basement was setup with Carnival Games. They broke into teams and went to 4 different stations. They popped a Pumpkin balloon with darts for prizes. They spun a wheel and did funny, spooky tricks. They did a Pumpkin Toss. And got their picture taken at the Spider Photo Booth. Hailey went all out! It was a amazing! They even did a Pinata at the end of the night!

Some more Spider Photo Booth pictures:

In one room, Hailey had set up a "Dead Man Walking" Game. It was hilarious! This is Brian Payne participating. Well... at least what is left of him. LOL

Here's some the Guests. What a fun night! Thanks Princess Leia for a fabulous night!

Pie After Women's Broadcast

Liberty had already committed to babysitting before we realized it was Women's Broadcast (I know-lame on my part. Oops!) So Victoria and I had a special date to listen to the broadcast and go out for dessert with some of our friends.
The Broadcast felt as if it was particularly written for me. A few of the things that meant the most to me were:
*It is time to take that beloved phrase “I am a child of God” and add the words “Therefore, what?”
*Because you are His child, you not only need Him, but He also needs you. Those sitting around you right now in this meeting need you. The world needs you, and your divine nature allows you to be His trusted disciple to all His children.
*When we are involved in watching, reading, or experiencing anything that is below our Heavenly Father’s standards, it weakens us. Regardless of our age, if what we look at, read, listen to, or choose to do does not meet the Lord’s standards in For the Strength of Youth, turn it off, rip it up, throw it out, and slam the door.
*Sisters, I do not know why we have the many trials that we have, but it is my personal feeling that the reward is so great, so eternal and everlasting, so joyful and beyond our understanding that in that day of reward, we may feel to say to our merciful, loving Father, “Was that all that was required?”
*Speaking of a 102 old woman that is serving in YW and just received her medallion-  Afterward, I asked Sister Hoskins, “How did you do it?”She promptly responded, “I repent every day.”
*Eva asked Great Aunt Rose- "Why are you so happy?”
“There is enough that doesn’t go right in life, so anyone can work themselves into a puddle of pessimism and a mess of melancholy. But I know people who, even when things don’t work out, focus on the wonders and miracles of life. These folks are the happiest people I know.”
“But,” Eva said, “you can’t just flip a switch and go from sad to happy.”
“No, perhaps not,” Aunt Rose smiled gently, “but God didn’t design us to be sad. He created us to have joy! So if we trust Him, He will help us to notice the good, bright, hopeful things of life. And sure enough, the world will become brighter. No, it doesn’t happen instantly, but honestly, how many good things do? Seems to me that the best things, like homemade bread or orange marmalade, take patience and work.”
Talking about what made a change in her, Aunt Rose shared- “I discovered faith. And faith led to hope. And faith and hope gave me confidence that one day everything would make sense, that because of the Savior, all the wrongs would be made right. After that, I saw that the path before me wasn’t as dreary and dusty as I had thought. I began to notice the bright blues, the verdant greens, and the fiery reds, and I decided I had a choice—I could hang my head and drag my feet on the dusty road of self-pity, or I could have a little faith, put on a bright dress, slip on my dancing shoes, and skip down the path of life, singing as I went.”

After the Broadcast, we visited for a bit at the Church with friends that stayed there for ice cream. Then, we went to Shelly's for some pie, fries, and shakes. Yum! Fun Mommy/Daughter time! XOXO

Clark's Bay While it's Warm

We went out to Clark's Bay for a bit with some friends before the weather turns cold. We live so close but don't make it out there enough! The kids all made this huge hot tub. Luv it! Thanks Jensens for the invite!

Super Hero Dad(s)

Seamons' Superhero Daddy Celebrations:

We made our Superhero lunch.

We gave him gifts including Church gifts, Superhero treats, Captain America shirts, a sling for his AR, a  DVD of the 1979 Version of Captain America, and Bacon Roses.

For dinner, we made Brett & Nick Seedall (his family is out of town for a couple of weeks) a fabulous Pork Rib Dinner with Corn on the cob and mashed potatoes and gravy. We gave them both a box of roses (Bacon Roses, that is. Which they thought were gross but looked cool! LOL) Then, we let them play a bit of ball while we cleaned up!

Finally, we made them Mississippi Mud for dessert! Yum!
Happy Father's Day! XOXO

Atticus Silliness

We had the chance to have Atticus over for a late night visit. Oh man! Did my older kids have a blast with him. They were so silly! They played bunny soccer, basketball downstairs, crawling chase and what ever else made Atticus happy. Justice was exhausted afterwards.;) I reminded him of all the times that he wished for a little brother. He said he loved it but it was tiring. Nothing like a "past-bedtime" toddler ruling the house. Love it!
This is Atticus "sleeping" on Justice:

Sampson's Valentine Party

We have some new friends that just recently moved into town. Glory & Sampson hit it off right away. So when Sampson planned a party for his new school friends, he also invited Glory to come down. She was super shy at first but ended up having a fantastic time. It was such a cute little party!
Hailey and I are made out of the same mold when it comes to Holidays and party planning. (I know... who knew there was someone else as fun & crazy as me. LOL)  She had soooo much food and it was FANCY not to mention delicious! She had lots of adorable airplane treats as well. She way outdid herself! She played Hot Heart with them downstairs. {The Valentine version of hot potato} She let them decorate airplane cookies. They made paper airplanes and tried to fly them off the deck. What a fabulous party! Thanks Seedalls for inviting Glory to be a part of your special day!

After the party, when everyone left- Sampson showed Glory his fort. They have such a great time together!

Primary Scones

January flew by so fast with "Christmas Recovery" mode & then a flu bug that the whole month felt like an anti-social month. [inert sad face] The kids have been buggin' us that we haven't been doing our Sunday Scone night. I have missed having people over. And I'm a little bummed that hardly anyone got to see how cute my house was decorated. Bummer!
Tonight we got on the ball and invited over the Primary Presidency (including the darling music people) & their families. We see each other every week but it was so great to just hang out! Fun people! I adore them. {The boys went out to play on the tramp and I never got a picture of them. Oops!}

We are almost finished with our Primary Bulletin Board at Church. I have been taking pictures of all of us for weeks. Then making them look like Polaroid photos on my scrapbook program and adding names. It turned out so fun! I love that we get to see all the awesome people we have in our Primary in one place. Plus it is extra helpful as some of my Presidency learns the names of all the kiddos. I love pictures!!!! (Below) Here's the picture we took of our Presidency. We giggle every time we see it because of our drastic height difference. LOL Granted that I had to sink down a bit to hold the door open with my foot but it made for a pretty awesome picture. I love these ladies!!
