Invited the Activity Day girls over today for a Winter Break Craft. (Only a couple girls could make it) The thread we used made everyone a little frustrated! Just call them "Bulgy Snowmen" ⛄ But they are cute!! Thanks girls for coming Quinn & Rebecca! {Funny side note- at 7PM- Kylie showed up. Her mom had read "@ 7....... Faith Lane and assumed it was at 7PM. Oops! Bummer!}

Glory's 3rd Grade Concert

Glory's 3rd-grade Christmas concert. They sang "I have a little Dreidel" & "There's someone in the chimney". As well as singing the traditional "White Christmas" 🎄with everyone. So cute! We love this little girl! ❤️

Christmas Crafting with Mrs. Sharbono

Marathon week of making crafts in Mrs. Sharbono's 3rd grade class. Fun times! This is when being a stay-at-home mom pays off. Hours of organizing & crafting. Just my cup of ☕️! So cute!

Other ones I helped with:
Reindeer I glued together & added string beforehand:

Tree- I organized beads, cut and tied string on the rings I bought, made a sample and let them use star beads for the top instead.

Then I got to eat with these cute kids this week as well!

Moana- Merry Christmas Glory!

For one of Glory's Christmas presents, she wanted to see the new movie Moana. So our whole family braved the -23° weather to take her to the theater. Merry Christmas baby!

Crazy Day with Pocahontas

Very eventful day!!! Glory did an amazing job presenting her biography on Pocahontas. She is one cute Indian! We also had another little girlie pass out during school & a nighttime basketball game all in the 4 degree weather with no daddy at home. Whew! Who wants a nap?

Glory did an amazing job with her Pocahontas presentation. Let's see if I can get a little video loaded:
Can't guarantee the quality because I had to squeeze it down so much to get it on. But here it is anyways!

P.S. Victoria passed out at school today while she was watching a presentation. She's passed out one other time last year when she was giving a presentation. Maybe she's allergic to presentations? LOL. We think she locked her knees and had some low blood sugar but an extra prayer in her direction would be appreciated.

7-11 Slurpees

Nostalgia for my youth when my friends & I used to walk down to "Sev" for a Slurpee. Quite the stylin' girls to share a little memory with.

Mrs. Sharbono's Thanksgiving Play

Mrs.Sharbono puts on a Thanksgiving Play every year. Glory's class did a awesome job today! We're thankful everyday for what a wonderful teacher Glory has. We love her! ❤️

Glory had lots of parts. She was a pilgrim girl who sailed on the Mayflower, learned to dance in Holland, and was grateful to God for answering her prayers in spite of living through a blizzard! She always was the cutest Statue of Liberty you ever did see! Love this girl- her smile, her memory & her voice. ❤️

Glory memorized what is written on the Statue of Liberty. She sang a solo part in the Thankful Song. She also helped sing the State Song & America. Love this play!

Costume Making- Statue of Liberty

  • mtseamonsfamI made a Statue of Liberty costume today for Glory's class play next week. (We made it big enough so that Liberty could actually wear it.) But Glory looks darling! She memorized- "On the Statue of Liberty these words are written, Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

  • scharachAwesome!
  • shilohsangelsSo cute! I love that you are on Instagram!! Missing you and the family

Halloween Lunchtime

I bought these cute skirts and shirts for the girls a while back. They were saving them for Halloween. But then we realized that Glory was supposed to be in a costume for school. I wasn't going to waste my money by her not wearing her cute outfit so I made her wear it this morning. Then I joined them for lunch so we could switch her into her costume for her class party. Cute kids! Love being with them for lunch!
(Although when I got to school Victoria had taken her skirt off. Oh my- switching clothes after you leave the house has already begun. Heaven help me! LOL)

Then he took the kids to the Ward Trunk-or-Treat at the Church. Followed by a Chili Cookoff & another Halloween Carnival. All in one day! Whew! What a good Dad! XO

Muffins with Moms

My last Muffins with Moms with my son. {Sad face!} So glad to be able to be with my kiddos though. They walked me back to my car & held my hand the whole way. How sweet is that?

Walk to School Day

Even though it was raining, the kids braved the Walk to School Day with their Fife friends. Once again, it's bitter sweet as Justice participates for the last time. Man! Why does he have to be going to High School next year! ;)

Brigham City Temple

The girls & I stopped by the Brigham City Temple on our way home from UT. (Yeah! Another temple to add to the side of our Blog!!!) It was beautiful!

We also walked across the street to check out the old Tabernacle. It is old & has gorgeous brick and windows! The girls found a little bat. Crazy!

Bestemor's Funeral

The real reason that the girls and I headed down to UT this week was for my grandma's funeral. Rayola H. Andersen aka Bestemor passed away last Monday at the age of 89.

We attended the viewing in the morning. It was crazy to see all my aunts & uncles & cousins & their kids. Some of them I haven't seen in like 15 years. I hardly recognized some of them.

At the graveside, we had a little service. I was able to visit with my oldest friend, Kathryn. And see a few more relatives that I haven't seen in years. Tauni & I compared our hair. Man! It's getting long!

Pallbearers:

Treston shared memories from all the grandkids.

All of Bestemor's children: (Lavell, Adam, Kathie, Kail, Klarise, & Karla)

All the Grandchildren (except Mark Jr. who passed away).

All the great-grandchildren (minus Liberty & Justice)

My mom- Karla's family

And my Dad & Edette came as well.

We had a luncheon afterwards, Victoria was super excited to bring home some flowers. It came with a little note that read:
"When Rayola was Relief Society President she always brought carnations to the luncheon after funerals. Her gift was fresh flowers to the family of the deceased in remembrance of their new life. I told her that I would do that at her funeral in gratitude for her service and influence to so many others."

Sleepover with Halle

Victoria, Glory & I took a short trip down to UT. We got to stay with the Davis family. The girls were so excited to spend time with Halle. They are so cute together!

They are also pretty silly!

They treated us to a Caramel Apple Bar. So delish! and messy!!!

The girls slept each night in a massive fort. Fun times! Thanks guys for letting us stay with you! XO

4th Floor, Last Door- Women's Broadcast

After going to dinner with my good friend, Kris- I took my little girls with me to the Women's Broadcast. {Liberty had to work} This was Glory's 1st time. Our favorite talk was Elder Uchdortf. He talked about never giving up when sharing the Gospel. They had ice cream for us afterwards. My girls were in heaven!!! ;)

Activity Days (FIGGS)

We just started up Activity Days again in our Ward. (We had the Summer off.) We are joining with another Ward to increase the amount of girls involved. The other Ward calls it FIGGS (for Faith in God Girls)  I had the opportunity to help out with their "get-to-know-you activity to kick off the year, It was so fun. I'm in love with all these cute girls!

They started out by doing a little Duck*Duck*Goose with an opportunity to tell each other something they admired about each other. We got a lot of "I like your hair" or I like your shirt" comments but it was still way cute.

We played a game with a lot of statement that could be applicable to the girls. Examples- I love chocolate! I have blue eyes. I love activity Days! etc. If it applied to someone they followed the directions to either move to the left or move to the right. (even if someone else was in that chair LOL) It was pretty funny!! The goal was to make it all the way around the circle and back to your orgiinal seat. Silly!

The last game we played helped the girls learn each others names. We did a little Memory practice with them and then played the game. The leaders, Annie Hartwig and Kim Jenkins divided the girls into 2 groups. They held up a blanket in the middle. One girl from each side would sneak up to be right next to the blanket. We would count to three and drop the blanket. The first girl to name the other girl correctly was the winner. Super great way to learn each others names.

Here's our cute group of girls & their leaders:
