We met a couple families out at Clark's Bay for a FHE activity tonight. The weather her has been soooo hot but a change has happened and we are all of a sudden in a very cool weather pattern. Brr! But the kids loved it! (and the Fife's new water toy!)
We saw the Guymons out on their boat and waved to them!

S'mores: No Fire Required
Our neighbors invited us over to roast S'mores. It got up to 102 today so we laughed about how we didn't need to even start a fire to roast anything. LOL We visited and checked out their home while we waited for it to cool down a bit. The girls LOVE their cat and spent hours chasing that thing around. It didn't really cool down but we braved the fire anyways and enjoyed their gourmet S'mores until it got dark. They are such fun neighbors! Such a darling family!!! We are way lucky to live where we live! We're planning to have a Block Party soon. Fun! Fun!
Memorial Park Pool
There has been a HEAT wave that has been attacking Helena this week. We've been in the 100s all week. It's the driest June in over 100 years! To combat the heat, we met Brett over lunch and took the younger kids to Memorial Park Pool to cool down. (Liberty is in Great Falls for Youth Conference)
The life guard let Justice go on the Super Sonic slide even though he was 1" short. It made his day! We also saw a couple friends so the kids were in heaven! It was a perfect way to cool off our scorching bodies!
I bought them popsicles after wards and we ate them in the shade at the park.

Justice's Guy Night
Justice had a bunch of friends over for a "Get-Together" tonight. They played BBall, did a firepit with smores, and played flashlight Hide-n-Seek. Justice was nervous to get them all together but had a great time! I think they'll do it again for sure!
(It's so tricky to teach kids how to be social. It's nerve-racking to make calls, invite people and hope everyone has a good time. I'm glad we are teaching them young! Even if we have to write notecards for the phone calls. LOL)

Super Hero Dad(s)
Seamons' Superhero Daddy Celebrations:
We made our Superhero lunch.
We gave him gifts including Church gifts, Superhero treats, Captain America shirts, a sling for his AR, a DVD of the 1979 Version of Captain America, and Bacon Roses.
For dinner, we made Brett & Nick Seedall (his family is out of town for a couple of weeks) a fabulous Pork Rib Dinner with Corn on the cob and mashed potatoes and gravy. We gave them both a box of roses (Bacon Roses, that is. Which they thought were gross but looked cool! LOL) Then, we let them play a bit of ball while we cleaned up!
Finally, we made them Mississippi Mud for dessert! Yum!
Happy Father's Day! XOXO

Praying for Sweet Kate
Sweet little Kate was in a really bad accident last week. (One of the Jacksons cute girls- on the right) She was life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital for a head trauma. We have all been praying for her like crazy!!
We had her cousins and her other sisters (Kyle & Heidi have been down in UT with Kate & their grandparents have been watching them) over for a playdate today. They had a good time! Cute Chloe kept telling me- "Oh man! I miss my Katey. Oh gosh! She's soooo cute!!!!" Chloe misses Kate so much! Get better, Kate! XOXO

Kid Day on Flag Day

Every year, on June 14th (which happens to be Flag Day) we celebrate Seamons Kid Day! It's a celebration much like Mother's or Father's day. We try to treat the kids extra special this day with their favorite foods, no chores, love notes, fun activities and gifts. They love it!!! I had an early morning Church meeting but left them a little love note and breakfast on the counter. <<<<<
After Church, they spent some time on electronics. This is the sight I see often if I don't keep up on their time limits. Gotta love Summer!
We made them an awesome lunch of Crab & Avocado Salad. (I didn't take any pictures. Oops!) Then for dinner we made Terrific Tacos. Everyone loves Tacos!!!!! What cute kids we have! They make some amazing looking tacos!

However----- here's what a REAL taco dinner looks like at our house. I thought it was super funny to catch the messiness and silliness of our family dinners. LOL
We took the kids out to play a family basketball game. It was super fun! Little Glory got bored pretty quickly and did some picture taking and bike riding around us. ;) Good times!
For dessert, we got really fancy and tried our hand at making Home-made Krispie Kreme donuts. Can I just say---- we are AWESOME!!!!! We called Brian & Nick (their families are out of town for a couple weeks) to tell them the "Hot Donuts Now" sign was on. They joined us for a bit to eat our deliciousness! YUMMY!
Gifts this year were super patriotic Gift cards to Walmart. I had a fun time taking them there the next day to find some treasures they wanted. I think we came home with foam swords to beat each other with, barbies and some shorts & flips flops. Fun times!
We are very grateful for these good kiddos we have.
Love them tons!
XOXO
Happy Kid Day!

6 More Truck Loads & Firepit Upgrade
This week, we brought in 2 more truck loads of rock and 4 more loads of dirt to keep working on our yard. Today (sat), we rented a Bobcat to move it all around.
We added rocks to our driveway to cover our drain pipe better and lengthened the driveway behind the garage. I didn't take any pictures of the rock job. Oops!
With the loads of dirt, we filled in the mote around the basketball court, added some dirt up by the house for our raspberry patch and spread the rest around the yard.
Dump Truck leaving a load:
Our piles o'dirt":
We all (except for Liberty who whimped out) got to run the Bobcat for a bit. Pretty cool!
Here's what it ended up like when we had to take the bobocat back. A bit if a bummer because we have so much work still. But I have to remind myself-- a little at a time, right? We need to level things out. Put in a sprinkling system. Add top soil. Then grass this baby! Someday, people, someday!
Then we decided with a bit of the rock we should upgrade our firepit area. So I moved the existing rocks, dug the whole bigger, arranged rocks around the edge and spread/filled it in a big circle to keep grass & weeds from growing close to the fire. Brett came and helped me at the end to spread some rock and move the stump seats back in place. It looks awesome!!!! We are so excited. You can see what it used to look like back HERE at Liberty's Bonfire. And her's what it looks like now. Somebody should pay us for our ideas. ;) LOL
As I got started:
All finished! How awesome is that?!:

Montana Capitol Tour
For Justice's Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge, we needed to visit a historical sight. We decided to take a tour of the Montana Capitol Building. We invited a couple other Scouts to join us. It's such a beautiful building. Our tour guide knew a lot and tried to make it as interesting as he could for a bunch of little kids that were thirsty and kinda whiney. LOL Oh boy! Outings with kiddos is always an adventure!

Sprinklers Under the Tramp
The Paynes are going on vacation for a month to Alaska. They leave this weekend so they invited us to spend some time with them before they leave. They set up their trampoline with the sprinkler. The kid had a blast getting wet, blowing bubbles, eating treats and visiting. So fun! We'll miss you guys!

Dishers on the Walking Mall
We took the Disher ladies up to the Walking Mall for a stroll. The kids played chess and slide down the firepole. Glory caught bugs. We checked out the Toy Store. We walked all the way to the Library to show them the Firetower. On our way back, We made a stop at the candy shop for some chocolate and some Turkish Delight. Delicious! And we ate Big Dipper ice cream/shakes for lunch!
What a fun visit! Thanks ladies for coming all this way to spend time with us! Luv ya!

Catch Fishing Fever
Last year, I heard about this community event called Catch Fishing Fever. Unfortunately, it was full before I could sign up the kids. So I got on a waiting list for this year. We got registered even before it was open to the public.
Early this morning, Brett took Justice, Victoria and Glory out to Canyon Ferry Lake at the Silo Campground by Townsend.
They did stations and learned all sorts of things about fishing like tying knots, water safety and fish identification (native Montana fish). They received backpacks, hats, sunglasses, fishing poles and lures. They got all that for FREE. How awesome is that!!!??
They also got to go out on a boat to do some fishing! They got 2 BIG fish!!!
We (Liberty, Becky, Josie and I) joined them at lunchtime. They actually fed us all as well. We ate hot dogs and chips on the beach. The kids fished a bit more from the shore. They skipped rocks. They all waded in the lake. Liberty and Josie took a walk down the beach. We had a great time!
It was perfect weather for such a fun day!!! Here's the info about the day:
When we got home, Justice measured his fish. It was 20 1/2 inches long!!! They cooked it up and ate it for dinner. Yum!

Liberty's Twin Came to Visit
Liberty very best friend, Josie Disher came to visit us this week. Back in Fargo, we always got them confused. Can you see why??? Freaky Twinners! LOL
It was so special that they would come out to visit. We appreciate the sacrifice of Dale to let Becky & Josie leave him and the other 5 kiddos for six days. And Becky for being brave to drive all the way out here and for not turning around when the GPS landed her on a dirt road somewhere in Montana. LOL We love you ladies!!
We took them to a couple places around town {More about the rest of their visit in the posts to come!} but we also enjoyed sharing our home with them.
The girls got each other matching T-shirts that had something to do with the Percy Jackson series, their favorite colors and Greece? Super fun! {I know that Becky & I are not twinners like Liberty and Josie but we sure are cute. And we had a good time being together as well!}
The girls loved sleeping in (after staying up all hours playing on Minecraft on electronics). A couple of times we wondered if they even knew how to speak since they mostly were silent the whole week unless we asked them a question and their answers were just noises like grunts. Silly girls!
While they were here, we introduced them to Pitch Perfect. We laughed so hard!!!! We watched the first one at home one night. Then just us four girls went to the theater to watch Pitch Perfect 2 and go out to lunch at the Creperie. Yum!
The Dishers brought Carbles with them for us to play. Fun times!!!
And we ate ALOT!!! Yummy meals everyday. I didn't take any pics except for when the girls made ButterBeer from Harry Potter!
Fun times!!!
