2nd Annual Marvel Movie Marathon

Liberty threw her 2nd Annual Marvel Movie Marathon. 

They watched all the 2nd films in the Avenger Films. 

It was a very long day but they had a blast! What fun friends!

Jet Skis with the Paynes

The Paynes invited us to join them to play out at Clark's Bay and ride their Jet Skis. It was a super awesome night for it! (even with the water a tad bit chilly) Thanks guys! It was a blast!

20th Class Reunion

Today was my 20th Class Reunion down in UT. I've never made it to any of them. My 5 year reunion was the night of Jill & Daniel's Wedding Reception. At my 10 year- we had just moved to North Dakota and had taken a $25,000 cut in pay. There was no way, we could afford to make it back. And now- here we are at 20 years (where the heck did 20 years go?????) and I was trekking as a Pioneer in Montana. A 7 hour drive after 4 days on Trek (and showing up halfway through the party) didn't sound like any fun to me. But still... kind of a bummer! I did join the Class website and thought I'd share some of the photos I put there. You know- Reminiscing and a way to feel connected to something I've not been apart of for 20 years!

Glory's Pet Bunny

When we got home from Trek, Glory adopted a Pet Bunny (for about 3 minutes because it was dead!) Somehow it must have got into the garage when we were loading for Trek and then got stuck in there. Poor Baby Bunny! But he sure is cute!

Trek 2015: Stay in Touch!

I'm sure Brett has many more stories he could share about our Trek Journey and probably many things that he experienced completely different than me. But he did write this letter to our Trek kids after we got home and I thought it was not only sweet but also shared some of his side of the story. Thought that I'd share it here:

Trek: Final Into Zion

Day FOUR: Trek to Zion

I totally forgot about this until I went back through my pictures. At our group meeting this morning, we were attacked by the Mob. They came in with covered faces and guns a blazin'! They threatened our lives if we don't leave their land immediately. Then they raided our Food Supply! (ok-we actually fed them after they had finished. But it was funny to say it that way! LOL)

 Here's the final shot I got of our Super Saints before we entered the Valley. (My camera died!) If someone has a picture of the waving of the handkerchiefs, I'll have to include that because it was super awesome!

What an experience! Something we'll never forget!!

Trek: Day Three

One very long Day THREE

Captains of the US Army came and enlisted our men in the War. The women were left alone to carry on! Dill said a sweet goodbye to the baby!

The Women's Pull. All the ladies had to first cross the creek (you can see that the men had to watch 

from up on the hill in the trees). Then up a steep hill around the bend and up another hill. I love the picture of us coming up the first hill because it shows Sarah Jo spraying herself in her face with my water bottle. I got these awesome water bottles for us to take with us. It was a life saver for the hot journey. Every time we stopped, the kids would say- "Ma spray us!" I loved that it was our special thing!

It was super hard but we made it!!!

1- Look at the Sun or the Moon.

2- Cover the eye that is looking at the sun.

3- Krink your neck to the side and turn your body in that direction.

4- Point to the sky with the hand cover your eye.

5- Draw a clock with your mind in the sky.

6- It's 11 am!

This is the best picture I have of remembering our Dirt Skiing experience. Plus it shows how our Fam would point in a certain direction until others started to look (we didn't see anything we just wanted to see how many people would follow us.) Fun times! We also liked to sing songs together along the way. We taught the kids to sing "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea". And when anyone complained about anything- Brett would sing them a song. For example- if you felt dirty-- "Rubber Ducky, You're the One!" If you were sad- "If you're Happy and You Know it!" If you were hot- "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!"

After the testimony Meeting at the Temple, we had some Family time. We ate dinner together (earlier) including Bubba Bob eating ants! Yuck! LOL Then we had treats together around our "campfire" (mini-lantern) and told Scary Stories in a whisper voice! Good Memories!

Trek: Day Two

Now on to- Trek Day TWO

Our family is now complete. Betty Jo (aka Little Ricky) joined our familia this morning in the pouring rain. I don't think I wrote this in my journal but she just jumped right in and the whole family welcomed her with open arms. It feels like she has always been a part of us! Luv ya, Little Ricky!
