Smørrebrød Party 2016

We signed up to feed the Sister Missionaries this weekend so we decided to make it into our annual Smørrebrød Party with a few other friends.

A little Christmas Name-that-Tune with the sister Missionaries! So fun! My kids blew them out of the frozen water!

  • mtseamonsfamAnnual Smorbord Party! (Extra memorable since Bestemor passed away this year) Thanks to the Sisters, the Tubbs, the Coils, and some of the Nielsons for coming & sharing in our Norwegian tradition. Next year Justin's bringing lutefisk! Lol

  • jbnielsonIt's a Smrdbra party! That's what the text invite I received from Brett said, "Smrdbra". That's what I couldn't pronounce it. But I can say "loot-a-fisk"!
  • jbnielsonPS everything was awesome, especially the flat round ginger bread Carmel cookie things. Thanks for having us over.
  • crumra53I have missed those parties over the years. I'm glad you've kept it going

"Homeless, Homeless, But there is hope because..." burning styrofoam cups in the snow is Awesome!!! Lol Teenagers.... what?? Where do they come up with these things?

Float Trip: Repeated

When we won the Float Trip from the Scout Auction, it was supposedly from the Staleys and the Tubbs families. It turned out that neither could go at the same time so we got super lucky and they both took us separately! ;)
The Staleys back in July (see here)
And the Tubbs today--
The Tubbs also invited their sister-in-law, the Bywaters and the Hansens. It was quite the Float Party!!! We had a fabulous time!
Here's everyone getting kayaks ready:

Everyone on the River:

Here's all our friends on the float:

They made another stop for crawfish:

And rock Climbing:

There were races:

And Bumper Boats:

And waterfights:

And treat sharing: (We learned this from the Staleys)

What a fun day with some fun people!

Tubbs Grandkids

We have fallen in love with the Tubbs grandkids. They had us over one day for a playdate.

We had them over to play one day while they are here visiting. We ate lunch together and played at our house.

And took them all to the "#1 Store" for ice cream. Fun times!

Plus we got to be invited to Aubrey's birthday celebration. Thanks for inviting us! We'll see you next time!

Triple Date in Manhattan

Brian and Brett planned a fun Group Valentine Date to check out this restaurant located in Manhattan, MT. It's about an hour or so away but it was such a fun adventure to be together. We had a blast chatting in the car and learning about each other. Each couple shared how we met and our Engagement story. So cute! Sir Scott's Oasis had some yummy food! Brett & I spoiled ourselves with Prawns and Finger Steaks. It came with everything from crackers and a relish tray to soup or salad to main dinner with toast & potatoes (the JoJo's were amazing!) to dessert. Delish! We were all absolutely stuffed when we left!

Our ride home was quite the adventure with us being pulled over for speeding. LOL Oops! It was pretty funny and he pretty much sweet talked his was out of it. Happy Valentines Day!
Then they all came back to our house for a Candlelight dessert that my kids had got all set up. The whole upstairs had candles burning and we stuffed ourselves even further with some Valentine cake with fresh strawberries. What a fun time with some fun people! {We missed the Fifes cuz they thought they'd check into the hospital instead of joining us- what's up with that??? We missed you guys and hope you feel better soon. Luv you anyways! ;)}

Smørbrød Party 2016

We originally planned on having all our trek kids and their families over for a Christmas Party. With sickness and time getting away from us, we made a last minute change. We were lucky enough that the Fifes and the Tubbs were available to join us for our annual Smørbrød Party. Yeah!
It was fun to have them over to share in our tradition.
And a humongous thanks to my cute family that slaved all Sunday afternoon making Scandinavian cookies and Smorbord! You guys are awesome!!! XOXO

Our cookies turned out perfect this year! So proud of us!

Our guests even made Brett's day by playing the Pipe Chimes with him for a couple songs!

Memorial Day BBQ on Faith Lane

Can I just say... I love having a home where we can have people over!!!!
We decided to throw a Memorial Day BBQ and have some friends over. It turned out to be quite the crowd! We were lucky enough to have the Posts, Fifes, Paynes, Earls, Tubbs, Ochsenbeins, Weavers, and Prescotts over to party with us! The skies threatened for a few moments before the guests arrived but then it was like a hot Summer Day! Love it!
My favorite thing about hosting is the fact that I don't have to make anything extravagant but always end up having a glorious meal! People are always welcome when they bring food! ;) We started up the fire pit and Brett turned on the Grill. We had tons of sides and even home-made ice cream! Awesome!

We are in love with our backyard. We had basketball games, trampoline fun, bug catching, visiting and kids even enjoyed the basement. It was really a perfect day! So glad our friends could spend time with us! We have so much to be grateful for. Happy Memorial Day!

We were all in love with my neighbors little girl. She was a up-ity "cheeser" at everyone but if we laughed at her too much- she would get pipping mad! It was so darling! love her!

Primary Scones

January flew by so fast with "Christmas Recovery" mode & then a flu bug that the whole month felt like an anti-social month. [inert sad face] The kids have been buggin' us that we haven't been doing our Sunday Scone night. I have missed having people over. And I'm a little bummed that hardly anyone got to see how cute my house was decorated. Bummer!
Tonight we got on the ball and invited over the Primary Presidency (including the darling music people) & their families. We see each other every week but it was so great to just hang out! Fun people! I adore them. {The boys went out to play on the tramp and I never got a picture of them. Oops!}

We are almost finished with our Primary Bulletin Board at Church. I have been taking pictures of all of us for weeks. Then making them look like Polaroid photos on my scrapbook program and adding names. It turned out so fun! I love that we get to see all the awesome people we have in our Primary in one place. Plus it is extra helpful as some of my Presidency learns the names of all the kiddos. I love pictures!!!! (Below) Here's the picture we took of our Presidency. We giggle every time we see it because of our drastic height difference. LOL Granted that I had to sink down a bit to hold the door open with my foot but it made for a pretty awesome picture. I love these ladies!!

Answer Your Text!!!!

We have completely enjoyed our Winter Break! We've got together with friends, kept up on some traditions, gone a few places, hung out as a family, played in the snow and slept in everyday (our favorite)!! Today was no exception.
Sometime around 10am, the Tubbs texted that they wanted to come play in the snow with us. Unfortunately, I did NOT respond. Actually Brett finally responded for me for the fact that my head was still on my pillow until past 11 o'clock. ;) Walt teased me later that he was totally irritated that I wasn't answering my text. {I've given his wife a hard time before about not responding to my text so he had grounds to growl at me} When I finally got up, the Tubbs came over to hangout for a bit.
Sadly, they got the "Real" Seamons Winter break disaster of a house. Sorry, Brenda! She spent a good chuck of time helping me tidy up a bit just so we could have somewhere to walk or sit that wasn't a total mess. Oops!
But at least the yard was perfect! Even Liberty got out for a bit of sledding fun! Always fun to be with friends! That is... as long as you answer your text!!! ;) LOL

Tubbs in the Snow

The Tubbs boys came to play in the snow for Christmas. They brought over one of their 4wheelers and their big black sled. The boys took turns pulling the rest of the kids around on the sleds. We also shared some hot chocolate and a little bit of lunch. We had a great time!

1st MT Seamons Halloween Party

We missed our annual Halloween Party last year due to lack of space to host anyone. But this year, Brett pushed for us to get some people together. It has been a busy week but it turned out so fun that I'm glad we did it! This year we invited the Andersons, the Paynes, the Allens, the Tubbs and part of the Fifes. Such fun people!

We had our "Chilli Dog" Dinner (a tradition from Great-Grandma Crump) with some other fun things. Frankenguac turned out to be a favorite. We also made Spider Eggs, Banana Ghosts and orange pumpkins. Everyone brought something to share. Yummy!

We decided to do our Pinata even without our big tree to hang it from. Brett just stood up on the deck with all the kids on the ground. It worked out pretty good.

We also carved Pumpkins in the garage. Lost of fun ones and silly people! Luv it!

People road the go-kart, visited and watched a Halloween movie. It was a super fun night!

BBQ at the Tubbs

I'm always trying to get the Tubbs to do things at their new beautiful home. When Brenda and I talked this week- we decided to do something for Labor Day together. So.. they invited a few families over tonight for a BBQ. We got to hang out with a couple families from both our old Ward and our new Ward. What a fun time!
Silly girls!

It was so fun to hang out with the Tubbs, the Binghams, the Bywaters and the Piersons. Food was great! The boys loved starting a fire and playing football. And the girls loved running away from the boys and dancing! Fun times!

The kids were goofy and a bit chilly so they played in the cars quite a bit. Locking out the boys, etc. Unfortunately, we had left our keys in the van and someone locked all the doors. Brett had to use his super agent powers to jimmy the lock. Oh boy! Never a dull moment with us!
