100 Days Smarter

The kids celebrated their 100th Day of School. It was Glory's first one. She was so excited!!! She took 100 m&ms for their Ice Cream Sundae treat!

Weather Déjà vu

It's FREEZIN' here, people!

Wednesday:
I think perhaps Fargo is missing us or at least sending their "nose hair freezin" love our way.
It is seriously COLD this week here in Helena. (-13 today) Brrrrr!! Who wants to get back in their PJs and crawl under a blanket?? [me, me!]


Thursday:
Oh my heavens!!!! Where the heck do we live? This morning it is -26. I am a popsicle inside my home. This is crazy!

Glow-in-the-Dark Daughter

My kids are pretty silly and very creative. Liberty got a Spy Pen at the Book Fair tonight. Here's what they've been up to. LOL

Psych- Special Agent Justice

We LOVE the TV Show, Psych. It is so funny! One of our favorite episodes is Psych Season 2: Episode 3 called Psy vs. Psy. Our favorite scene from this episode revolves around Special Agent Lars Ewing (Lou Diamond Phillips) talking to Jules without his shirt. We decided to have Justice act it out. It turned out so perfect and HILARIOUS!!!

Here's the real quote:
"Lassiter spilled a cup of coffee on me and right before I was supposed to get on the plane.

** Disclaimer- Whiney-ness is about to occur!****

Sometimes life seems to just be against me!!

Can you feel my positive attitude just over-flowing??? LOL

* The weather has been bitter cold and icky for 2 weeks. I so DON"T like the cold!

* I am feeling lazy, friendless and unproductive because I am trapped in a tiny apartment with nothing to do. And I'm being too shy to invite myself to do things with people.

* Weather here in Helena has been fabulous from September to late-January. Perfect for building a home. Except since the Seamons have started building this month- the weather now sucks! Everything is on hold and it doesn't look like it's going to improve anytime soon. Grrrrr!

* Then to top it off--- Today, we were running some errands in this cold weather when we heard a crackling sound. We watched in disbelieve as a humongous crack grew across our windshield. What the heck!!! Really ticked off right now! Let's just add to the million things we should replace with the money we don't have. Bugger!

A tiny bit of Craftiness

Even though I consider myself an official lazy, couch potato these days- I did manage to finish up a couple crafty subway art thingys. Go me!

The Boys went Skiing

Justice's Class had the opportunity to go skiing today at the Great Divide Montana Ski Resort.  The kids were able to bring a parent along if they'd like. Justice was so excited to take his Dad. This was Justice's first time EVER. Brett said he caught on quickly. They had such a  great time they ended up staying the whole day. We have big plans to become a skiing family. ;)

Elder Burrows Departed

We LOVE having the Missionaries over for dinner in our home. We love talking with them, sharing spiritual stories and having them share with our family a message and a prayer.
It's also kind of a tradition of ours to eat dessert with any Elder that leaves the area. It's sort of our Goodbye Gift  to thank him for his service.
Elder Burrows is headed to the Mission home to continue his mission so we had them over for dessert tonight. We made him cookies. I think that we ate all 80 cookies. LOL Not to mention that 3 people spilled their milk. One time ON Elder Burrows. Needless to say- it was a memorable send off! Good Luck Elder Burrows!



P.S. A couple weeks later, we had the new Elders over for dinner. Glory said to me, "The missionaries are really fun but I really miss Elder Burrows.... I will NEVER forget Elder Burrows." Dude! She's so cute!!!

Ice Skating Fun

Liberty had the opportunity to do some Ice Skating with some friends and also the YW this week.
Since we all had a day off from school and work, we decided to try it out. Veterans Memorial Park has an ice skating rink with ice skate to borrow. They were having a special today- anyone wearing Stars & Stripes got in for $0.50. SCORE for the Seamons Fam. We invited the Paynes to join us. Even though the ice was melting and not-so-smooth in places---We had a great time!

Victoria's Baptismal Preview

Victoria will be turning EIGHT soon. She wants to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our leaders did a Great to be Eight Night: Baptismal Preview this evening. The kids were instructed how their special day will go and given a list of things to bring. They even got to practice what it will be like in the font. Then they served treats. Victoria LOVES treats! It was a fun night to be with her.

Glory Ties her Shoes

This baby of mine always surprises me. She needed new shoes and the ones we found that were purple (her favorite color) were ones that needed to be tied. She promised she would learn if she could get them. So we went over it a couple of times and... WHOLA! She's a pro. Amazing little girl.

FREEZE- Hands up!

The thing about snow here in Helena--- It does snow a little but it never stays very long. It actually makes Brett a little sad. He loves the SNOW!
We got a good amount of snow last night but we knew it wouldn't last. So, Brett had us all play Snowman Hooky this morning.

We made beautiful Snow Angels.

 A Snowball Fight was in order.

And despite the non-packing snow, we even managed to make a Snowman.

He must have felt guilty that we were playing hooky because 

he looks like he's about to be arrested with his Hands Up! LOL

P.S. It was good we took the time to enjoy the snow together this morning because by the time Brett got home from work most of the snow was gone from the backyard area. 

BYU Game with Winwards

Thanks to the Winwards for inviting us over for the BYU vs. LMU game. We love getting together with people. You guys are awesome!

VOLLET- Volleyball Ballet

Tonight, we got invited on a large group date to go play Volleyball at the Church. It was a Blast! Thanks for planning it, Shay! (Not me- the other Shay- LOL) There were tons of couples there. They teased me that I looked more like I was doing ballet than Volleyball. ;) Rude!! LOL I would have been offended but I ended being on the winning time for every game except for one so- guess Vollet works!
