Farmer in the Dell 2016

Another year of our family attending & volunteering at the Farmer in the Dell. {Although they now call it Family Fun Day at WestMont. ;) }
After Justice's, football game, we all headed over. We missed lunch this time but enjoyed finding a Pumpkin & playing a couple games. We ran into the Fife family and used them as stand-ins for our older kids not being available for our family pic. Thanks Ethan & Quinn. We said we could photo-shop our kids faces on their bodies but I'm way too behind on my blog so we'll just say we adopted these 2 for the day. ;)

Let's see if I can get a video added:

Activity Days (FIGGS)

We just started up Activity Days again in our Ward. (We had the Summer off.) We are joining with another Ward to increase the amount of girls involved. The other Ward calls it FIGGS (for Faith in God Girls)  I had the opportunity to help out with their "get-to-know-you activity to kick off the year, It was so fun. I'm in love with all these cute girls!

They started out by doing a little Duck*Duck*Goose with an opportunity to tell each other something they admired about each other. We got a lot of "I like your hair" or I like your shirt" comments but it was still way cute.

We played a game with a lot of statement that could be applicable to the girls. Examples- I love chocolate! I have blue eyes. I love activity Days! etc. If it applied to someone they followed the directions to either move to the left or move to the right. (even if someone else was in that chair LOL) It was pretty funny!! The goal was to make it all the way around the circle and back to your orgiinal seat. Silly!

The last game we played helped the girls learn each others names. We did a little Memory practice with them and then played the game. The leaders, Annie Hartwig and Kim Jenkins divided the girls into 2 groups. They held up a blanket in the middle. One girl from each side would sneak up to be right next to the blanket. We would count to three and drop the blanket. The first girl to name the other girl correctly was the winner. Super great way to learn each others names.

Here's our cute group of girls & their leaders:

Grandpa & Grammy Visit

Grandpa Randy & Grammy (Edette) came to visit this weekend. We had a great time with them!

We enjoyed...
Hobo Dinners & S'mores in the Rain (and even a double rainbow!)

The S'mores were provided by a kit that the Rasmussens sent us! Man, we love them! How cute is that??

Dad & Edette were kind enough to drive me to Bozeman to buy our teenagers a car. (while the kids were at school & Brett was at work) We enjoyed lunch at the Naked Noodle & walked down the main street to check out shops & buy candy!!! ;)
Liberty was super excited when we brought the new car home. She loves it {for reals}! Silver Subaru

We took them to Justices football game & then to the Farmers Market. We shared some Mexican Street corn, kettle corn & got free flowers! Good day!!! {Plus we found Grandpa's lost Walkie Talkies so all was good! ;)

We also ate tons! Yummy!
We tried out Zuchinni Pizzas. (and made stuff with huckleberries)

They made us Crepes one morning. Delish!

We shared fancy Quesadillas with fresh garden stuff. So good!

We even played a few games. Winner!Winner! Chicken Dinner! LOL Brett and Justice were ashamed of their LOSER-ness so they hid their faces. ;)

It went way too fast and it rained us out of our hike! Darn! Guess they'll just have to come up again! Love you guys! XO

P.S. Thanks Dad for helping Brett with our yard projects! Sometime our Zipline will be function-able & awesome! ;)

Nick's Baptism

One of Brett's Seminary students from last year got baptized today. (Yes! Nick came to early morning Seminary for the last 2 years without even being a Member of The Church.) Nick asked that Brett baptize him. Brett felt very grateful to be a part of Nick's special day.

Here's our good friends the Fifes with Nick (they recently adopted Nick & his 2 brothers)

Showing off His Football Skills

We took Grammy & Grandpa Randy with us to Justice's football game this morning. It was a little chilly! (way chilly for Grammy in her parka, gloves & hat!!! LOL) Good game, Buddy!

Hiking Mount Ascension

For those of you who know that I haven't been to the gym in about 9 months or more- you'd be proud of me. My friend Brenda has taken me on a few hikes up Mount Ascension. I thought maybe she would kill me- but I've done pretty good. Leann joined us this last time. Way to go, girl!!! ;) She'll "probably" come again with us. {Personally joke because sometimes I'm not sure she knows any other words except- "probably" LOL Luv ya, girlie!}
Here's us at the top:

Here's a Pano of the higher peak we went to last time. Gorgeous!!!

Back to School Open House

We took the girls to MCS Open House tonight to drop off all their school stuff in their desk in their new classrooms.
We giggled when we saw this sign over Glory's classroom. We are so excited to have Mrs. Sharbono back!!

Here's a closeup:

We found out that Victoria's teacher, Mrs. K-C won't be there the whole 1st week. Her mother died last week. So sad!
We did drop off her stuff and check out the Johnny Depp wall in her classroom. LOL ;)

Justice was at Football Practice so we just had him come find his locker when he was done.
Can't believe school starts tomorrow!!!!! So sad for the end of Summer days!

Summer Playdates 2016

Just a few (Ha!), fun pictures from playdates or activities we did this Summer:
Having Hunter over while his Moms at the hospital:

Having the Smith kids over while their parents are starting a new business:

And one time we watched their baby while they had a little get-a-way. My kids adored that baby!!!

Oh- and one time they all came with their cousin for a little bit. We ate lunch & made cotton candy!

Face painting and hanging with the neighbors:

We had one of Glory's cute boys in her class as well as his sister over while their parents went out of town to buy a car (my girls were out of town so they just hang out with me for the day!)

The Anderson kids came and hung out one day when their mom was
out of the country on a humanitarian trip. How awesome is she!!!?
They made anklets, did karate, had some Piano lessons and played croquet. Cute kids!

Rebecca and GLory beg all the time. So glad we were able to finally have her over! They did some "makeup".

Aspynn came over for a Craft-a-ganza!! LOL

Elizabeth came and made cookies one time.

What fun friends we have!

Trek Family Pie Night

We planned on last Trek Reunion (get together with the kids we were Ma & Pa to on Trek last Summer) before some of them move away to College and Missions. This time we decided to let them invite all their real family and do a Pie Night. I printed off tons of pictures of our Trek Family and used them as decorations for the evening. It was fun for everyone to look back at our Memories. Plus I let them take any home they wanted afterwards. ;)

We had quite a few families come. It was so fun to really get to hang out with their families a bit. We had perfect weather and loved sharing our yard with them. Everyone brought a pie to share so we enjoyed some yumminess as well.

We got a Trek Family Photo for which will probably be our last time ;( Plus our adopted daughter Ruby Jane.
Here's the Chaos and Photo Bombers as we got situated:

Here's our cute Trek Fam that could make it. Super Saints Assemble!
Front row (L to R): Emma Bob, Bo, Ma Jo & Pa Bob
Back Row (L to R): Big T, Ruby Jane, Jenny Sue, Bubba Bob, Big Freakin' Dill

And finally here's us showing our Super Saints Swag. Too funny! Love these kids!!!

Block Party Ice Cream Social

We really adore the people on our street and wish we could get us together more. So finally we made a plan. We decided to throw an Ice Cream Social. The Weavers said they would host and provide the ice cream along with yard games. I made up some invites which my girls went and delivered in the rain last week. LOL
Most of our neighborhood showed up this evening. We were excited to get to know them and let them all meet each other. One family just moved in a month ago. The other are still building. We only had 2 that couldn't make it but let us know why and wish they could be there. How fun is it to have such an awesome street to live on.
