Worship on Christmas

mtseamonsfam So thankful for my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! So blessed to have this little family to share this life with. At this Christmastime; as I reflect on my role as a woman, I am in awe of Mary, the mother of Jesus- her faith, her diligence, her ❤️.
From Luke 1:46-49- "...and Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name."

In this coming year-- May I magnify the Lord a little more, rejoice a little more, and have the desire to follow the Savior a little more- for He has done great things in my life and His name is holy!! #oneluckymom #oneluckywife #daughterofgod

faybono5 (Fay Bono, friend) Merry Christmas, you guys rock!!!!

Christmas Morning

A few of our Christmas morning traditions- we all start out with a snuggle in Mom & Dad's bed. Then a family prayer holding hands. With Christmas being on Sunday – democracy in action – we voted to just open stockings before Church. Celebrate Jesus 1st. Presents can wait. Then we enjoyed our traditional cinnamon roll wreath. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄

Eve @ the Nielsons

mtseamonsfam Hanging with our Nielson friends on Christmas Eve after the Nativity. Treats, piano solos, puppies and good friends! Thanks guys. Xo Merry Christmas Eve!
demerry (Demerry Nielson) Thanks for coming ❤️🎄🎁🎅

Live Nativity 2016 minus Liberty

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is our stake live nativity. The neighborhood around our stake center celebrate Christmas with so many lights. And people can drive through the parking lot to enjoy the live nativity while they're there. We sure missed Liberty. But enjoyed the Nielson kids as our extras.

One more Demerry sent me!

Funny sign on the door after we got in our costumes. LOL

Christmas Eve Traditions

We did our Christmas Eve traditions a little early since Liberty has to head off to work. Everyone helped make our 7-layer dip. Yum! Then the "wisemen" brought 🎁. We had some crabby wise guys (there's a bit of GRINCHy spirit this afternoon in our home) but still fun to keep our traditions.

Christmas Eve at Civic Center

mtseamonsfam Awesome way to worship with our Anderson friends & the Narrate Church on this Christmas Eve. Fun music, kids & messages! Thanks friends for the invite. Merry Christmas! 🎁
May this Christmas- we all desire to be GIVERS. After all- that's what Jesus is all about! #adamgrant #newwaytolookatchristmas
crumra53 (Grandpa Randy) it looks like fun looks like fun. Have a great Christmas. Love you and we got your card and pictures and the money. Thanks for your generous donation.

Buried in the Snow

We have got SOOOO much snow lately! And it's been bitter cold! The kids were not listening or getting along so we gave the extra job of shoveling the front walk and driveway. After they did a pretty good job on the shoveling, we found them doing this.... Burying their brother in the snow. Oh Sibling Love!!!! ;)

Here's what our cars looked like after one storm:

Victoria's Ugly Sweater Song

mtseamonsfam Victoria's 5th grade class was awesome! They sang "Perfect Winter Day", "Go Tell it on the Mountain" & "Ugly Sweater". Her class rocked the 2 part harmony. Amazing! Love her smile! Thanks to Mrs. Nelson & Mrs. Holman for always doing a fabulous job putting these programs together. You ladies are the best!
ceveland14 (cheyloh) I LOVED their two songs of perfect winter and ugly sweater. I laughed pretty hard. They did so good!!!
hseedall So fun!! Great pictures

  • mtseamonsfam{My 1st attempt to trim a video- hopefully it works 😜} fifth grade rendition of "Ugly Sweater". So creative! Victoria is on the third row, 2nd from the right

  • nicholec78(Nichole Christensen)Your music teacher seems to be very high energy! Fun!
  • crumra53 (Grandpa Randy)Sorry to miss all your programs these days. We need a little more notice, (and a little less cold) .You seem to love to perform.

Glory's 3rd Grade Concert

Glory's 3rd-grade Christmas concert. They sang "I have a little Dreidel" & "There's someone in the chimney". As well as singing the traditional "White Christmas" 🎄with everyone. So cute! We love this little girl! ❤️

Presenting the MCS 3rd grade singing "There's Someone in the Chimney" (Glory's in red dress on the 2nd row, 2nd from the right)

Happy 40th Kris!

Happy B-day, my Kris friend!!! Hope you have a fantastic year! You deserve it! Hugs! Fun ladies to "surprise" Kris for a little celebration! #professionalbirthdaysingers

Christmas Crafting with Mrs. Sharbono

Marathon week of making crafts in Mrs. Sharbono's 3rd grade class. Fun times! This is when being a stay-at-home mom pays off. Hours of organizing & crafting. Just my cup of ☕️! So cute!

Other ones I helped with:
Reindeer I glued together & added string beforehand:

Tree- I organized beads, cut and tied string on the rings I bought, made a sample and let them use star beads for the top instead.

Then I got to eat with these cute kids this week as well!

Justice 8th Grade Christmas Concert

Justice's last Christmas Concert @ MCS. He's been sick since last Wednesday so we were afraid he wouldn't make it. But miraculously he regained his voice enough in the last day & a half to play the trumpet. He did a great job! We love Mrs. Nelson. Her concerts are always so fun!

Here's the Traditional end to the MCS Christmas Concert- White Christmas with music by Justice's 8th grade band. "May all your Christmases be White!" ❄️

We love Shauna!

We love this little book that Aunt Shauna made us in 2004. It shares the Christmas story from the scriptures along with pictures and songs to sing. As a bonus it has a ABC poem about Christmas-y things. What a fun tradition! Thanks, Shauna! 😘 {Plus she sent us chocolate!!!!}

Scripture Reading- the Seamons Way!

We are pretty perfect about Family Scripture Study in our home. We haven't missed a night in over 20 years. (Seriously!) It has been a blessing in our lives for sure.
But let's be real------ it's not always accompanied with halos and an overwhelming, uplifting Spirit- this is a pretty decent picture of reality! Dad "resting" his eyes. Glory getting a back tickle while she reads from the iPod. Justice making faces. Victoria foot to back massaging her brother (or is she beating him with her foot?) Liberty sitting as far away as she can from the chaos. And Mom thinking we don't have to always read so many verses each night. It's reality people- but I'll keep them! 💗😘😘😘😘

Work Party in the Cold

Part of our family finished our marathon day at a work-ish party shindig. Thanks Maces for opening your home to everyone. Now time for the fireplace & some hot cocoa in my jammies! (❄️ Presently -24° with wind chill Brrrr! ) {Justice was sick and Liberty had to work}

25th Anniversary of Nutcracker

A little Nutcracker this afternoon. We had so many friends that were in it this year. Fun to support them all as a family. Way to go, all our gorgeous friends!

Congrats to our friends for a job well done. We were able to congratulate a few in person. Nutcracker 2016. Happy 25th Anniversary! (Mikal Fife is on the main poster. She played Clara! Her mom, Kris was in one of the 1st Nutcrackers here in Helena. She was able to dance in this one along with her younger daughter, Quinn as well.) We also knew Rebecca Wilkins, Tessa Coil, Genger girls, Hannah Caldwell to name a few.
P.S. For the 25th Celebration, they did a big dinner and Kid Candy Land. Liberty was able to work the night there with some of her friends!
