Decorating with LOVE

The kids loved helping me get out our February decorations. It makes our home so lovely! ;)

We also were going to switch out some pictures on our magnet board by our front door but we decided to just celebrate some of our Valentine memories this month. We attended a Couple Dance the last couple years. I setup & took pictures for the Photo Booth at them. The RS Pres in that ward got changed this last year- and I guess she had been the driving force for it because they didn't do one this year. Bummer! It brings back so many fond memories!

And I love switching my magnet board in the kitchen with new pictures to remember the same month last year (or previous years)! Photos are my favorite!!

Family Game Night

The Binghams invited us over tonight for a Family Game Night. Everyone played a variety of different games and had a fabulous time. They also served us ice cream sundaes. Yum!
The missionaries got to share with us a message about repentance with a fun object lesson for the kiddos. It included salt & peper and water and soap. The kids thought it was great!
What a fun night with friends we haven't seen for a long time. Thanks guys for inviting us! You're the best!

Decorations for January

I have collected some pretty darling Snowman decor over the last couple years. I love how festive we make our home. I LOVE it!!!

Baptism Preview

Glory can hardly stand her excitement for her upcoming baptism in June. She can't wait to follow the example of Jesus. Tonight, she had a Baptism Preview. Our Church leaders had all the kids that were turning eight this year come to the Church to talk to them about baptism and walk them through what will happen when it's their turn. Brett and I both went with her on this little momentous date. She felt so special!!! She's such a beautiful girl and shines His light everyday. We're so lucky to be her parents!!

Sushi with Nick

It was Nick's birthday and Hailey got a bunch of us together to celebrate. We went out for dinner to Nagoya's. Brett and I got sushi. Oh my heavens!!! I love sushi!!
We also went out to the movies. We saw The Finest Hour. It was an amazing story!

Happy Birthday Nick!!!
So glad we're friends.

Cleaning the Church

We wer really proud of our kids for coming with us to help clean the Church this morning. They worked hard at cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and tidying up. It looked amazing! They were pretty funny when we were all done. The kids laid down and Justice did hurtles over them. Kids have the best imaginations. (even if it gets them in dangerous situations. LOL)

Pie Night at Seamons

We invited a bunch of friends over tonight. Everyone brought some pie to share. It shouldn't surprise me anymore with the countless parties we've planned- but it always catches me off guard what amazing people God has blessed our lives with. We had such a fun time visiting and laughing together. Love having people together!

Justice Science Project: Life on Ice

Justice and his friend did their Science project together this year. They decided to melt ice with different agents and see which one melted the fastest. From a mother's perspective- it was a long and painful process to keep them on task but we survived!! We froze ice, set up the experiment, took pictures, collected data, and put it all together. We even made a Selfie spot on the poster. LOL (We're so funny!) They did a great job at presenting it. So great in fact that they're going to Regionals on the 23rd. Good luck boys! We're proud of you!

P.S. Justice made a mug in art class. He made it look like a bald eagle. It's pretty amazing! He even enjoyed it for hot cocoa!

Family Olympics

Brett wanted to do something fun with the family so he came up with a special family Olympics. It was a lot of fun! We did a competition of standing on one leg. Using straws to suck up candy and put it in a cup. Rolling eggs across the room with their noses. Transferring candy with a spoon from the counter to the table. (That was super messy and crazy. LOL) And a game of Twister. I love Brett's creativity! He's such a great father. We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

Skiing First Timers

For our last hurrah of our Christmas Break, we decided to take everyone up to the Great Divide Ski Resort for some skiing. This was Victoria & Glory very 1st time!!! We've been collecting ski equipment from the thrift store over the last couple months. We finally got some boots and skis for all the kids. That helps tons financially when you're taking 6 people up on the slopes. We headed up as soon as we could get everyone moving in the morning. We spent some time on the Bunny Hill getting used to things. Victoria & Glory did great! Then we got all-day lift tickets for the older kids & some one hour ones for the rest of us. Everyone had a pretty good time on the slopes. Justice had one of his skis lose a spring but it happened to be about the time that my lift pass expired so we just swapped skis out so he could continue the fun. Victoria was super brave and went up the big mountain with Justice & Dad. Liberty loved that she found a friend to spend some time with. Glory & I got to enjoy some hot chocolate while everyone finished their last couple runs. Awesome times!

New Year's Eve at Home

Our New Years Eve was laid back. Except for sledding, we spent the day at home. We watched movies, played games, and ate our Figi's & hot cocoa. Brett had bought us all our own bottle of Sparkling Cider so we chugged those most of the day as well. Late in the evening, Liberty got invited to a party so she took off. It was weird to not have her around. They are growing up so fast- I should probably brace myself for them all doing that soon, right?

When it got dark, we let off a couple fireworks. Then Glory & I watched them do a ton of snappers outside in the freezing cold!!!

At midnight, we made noise, drank and kissed in the New Year!

We had been in the middle of a card game so we finished it up. Liberty got there in time to enjoy our company for a bit. Doesn't she look so excited to be home!!!? LOL

Then everyone got in on our annual Balloon Pop Extravaganza! They were tough and it took a lot of energy to pop them. Too funny!

Happy New Year!
May 2016 be everything you want it to be!

New Years Eve Sledding

We have been stuck at home all week with sickness so we decided with our last couple days- we need to get out and make memories! So we took the family sledding for a bit. We went to a hill by St. Peters Hospital before it got dark. We had a good time!
